Dragonfire Phat Tele Pickups use oversized “phat” poles paired with classic AlNiCo 5 delivery for impressive execution and highly effective results. Carefully crafted Alnico magnets offer a well-rounded, smooth, warmly focused and dynamic presentation while still providing plenty of attack and coherence in this unique Tele pickup design. Phat pole styling adds exceptional functionality to allow for clearer articulation, so you’ll be able to play notes off the fretboard with quality string response. If you want Tele tone with great “phat” bottom end, enhanced functionality, and distinctive presentation, these are the pickups for you.

These pickups feature exposed oversized “phat” non-staggered slug style chrome polepieces. The neck pickup is Reverse-Wound and Reverse-Polarity (RWRP) to ensure the best possible set execution and collaboration when used in tandem with the bridge for hum-cancelling performance.

Please note that these pickups are uncovered and work with standard Tele body or guard mounting spacing. Since there is no cover, you should expect to have a space around the neck pickup within a standard Tele pickup rout or mounting ring. The pickups will not “fill” the entire standard rout space like a traditional covered Tele neck pickup. Without a modified rout, there will be a visible gap at the pickup ends. These Tele pickups come with a hot and a ground wire for easy installation and use with a 3-Way Switch.

These two-wire pickups come with a colored hot and a black ground wire for easy installation (colors may vary from sample images provided). Due to the vast and varied nature of possible components and set-up styles, we do not provide specific information or diagrams for installation. You should be able to use basic information and general knowledge to successfully complete installation with your choice of diagram or instructions if needed.

Installation requires soldering and compatible system. We provide enough pickup lead wire to complete installation wiring in standard usage situations.
