ITEM DESCRIPTION
For an easy mod that produces noticeable results, this split-shaft LP control pot is a great option. Most players will be able to gain a more precise response to manipulation with these pots. These will work with most coarse knurled, 18-spline style knobs.

This is a large, extra-long, split-shaft control pot and mounts through the body and ground plate of most LPs. The included hex mounting nuts give you the ability to adjust your height. Of course, your set-up may be different and you may require additional nuts or lock washers (not included). Be sure to check your requirements in relation to the measurements provided for this item. Ask any fit or compatibility questions prior to purchase.

Your choice of OHM style: 25K or 500K. A control pot is a variable resistor controlling the signal strength. “K” is the reference to the resistance rating of the pot (kOhms). Higher pot 500K values typically lend a brightness to your sound while the 250K lower value pots typically result in a bit more playing warmth. Many players prefer pairing humbuckers with 500K pots and single coils pickups with 250K pots. You might switch it up depending on your style and what you are looking for in terms of performance. 25K pots are only used with active pickups.

Your choice of pot style ~ Audio (aka “A” pot or “Aud” pot) or Linear Taper (aka “B” pot or “Lin” pot). Both types of pots will be at ~0% in the min position and ~100% in the max position. Some players believe audio pots provide a smoother volume roll or transition, while others like the linear pots better for tone transitioning. It’s really a personal playing preference as performance will vary based on many factors, including style, equipment and skill.
