YOUR CHOICE – Guard Color / Style
We offer a large variety of different pickguard colors and styles. Follow this link to see samples of our available guard colors and find more information about the material styles we offer.
*Standard guards are cut from multi-ply traditional pickguard materials. Unless specified, material layers may vary (impacts side edging color only).
*Standard solid guards cut from single-ply traditional pickguard materials do not have the customary side stripe.
*Other styles are specialized single-ply solid non-standard custom material without a side stripe. Some options in this color category feature a range of transparent, translucent, shimmer, sparkle, or reflective qualities. Contact us for details if these features are important to your project as the gradient varies between styles. Many of these materials are designed to vary in pattern, color, and style, providing unique outcomes for each project – expect variability.
*Most guard styles come with full-size pre-applied electronics shielding sheet. Some specialty guards, including translucent or transparent styles, may have single or double-sided protective covering with electronics shielding sheet included separately so you can choose whether/how to apply it.
*Allow and expect color and pattern variation due to photo and monitor settings, natural product variance, and personal perception. If you are looking for a particular outcome or project color match, carefully consider your purchase as many of our material options are designed to provide unique project finishes and we cannot guarantee a specific look.

YOUR CHOICE – Bevel Style
Choose a standard 45-degree bevel or change it up with a rounded style bevel or no bevel for an unbeveled finish edge.

YOUR CHOICE – Mounting Style
For your guard mounting style, a reference image is provided to give general style locations and hole patterns. Mounting screw holes are counter-sunk.
*None (Undrilled): No mounting screw holes (undrilled, do-it-yourself) so you can place the mounting holes where you need them if you’re not sure what pattern you have or if you have something non-standard or more unusual.
*11-Hole Standard
*11-Hole ‘62 Pattern
*8-Hole Conversion: Based on the 11-Hole Standard, this gives the Vintage 8-Hole look without drilling new holes.
*8-Hole Vintage Pattern
*4 Hole Anchor Pattern: Provides the most common corner mounting holes so you can place additional holes as needed.

YOUR CHOICE – Bridge / Trem Cut
Choose a standard or Floyd Rose cut style or select “None (Uncut)” if you do not wish to have a trem space routed.
*Floyd Rose Cut pickguards are designed for a Floyd Rose Tremolo rather than a Standard Strat Trem set-up. Guard mounting screw spacing will be adjusted appropriately for this choice. Note that bridge pickup rout placement may also be adjusted (moved forward) accordingly if this option is selected in conjunction with a standard humbucker rout at the bridge.

YOUR CHOICE – Neck Pocket / Cutout
Choose a standard neck cut size/style Tele or Strat neck pocket with or without a truss rod notch for Elite / Pro-Mod styles (not for vintage or other styles).

Choice of bridge, middle & neck cut styles for each slot.
*None (Uncut): No pickup opening in the specified location
*Strat® Single Coil: Straight, Slanted or Reverse Slanted
*Humbucker: Standard & Specialized Square or Rounded Corner, Mini & Lipstick styles
--Standard, Angled, or Reverse Angled orientation
--Standard or “Forward” Placement which moves the bridge humbucker rout ¼” further from the trem cut. If you’re not sure which style you need, check your measurements and contact us. The forward placement is more common and used with the Deluxe/Lonestar option as well as with Floyd Rose trem styles.
*Double Strat Single Coil options feature routing for two standard sized single coil covers in either a Tight” (without space between the two single coil slots) or “Spaced” (with space between the slots) option for this pickup rout style. The standard pickup mounting for this style includes four mounting holes (two for each single coil rout). This rout creates a tight fit by design, so we don’t recommend this option if your single coil or Strat-sized pickup is oversized or non-standard. If your pickups have a baseplate, you may need to adjust the orientation of one or both for those two single coils to fit together in the pickup rout.

Pickup Rout Information
*Some options are only available in certain positions.
*Not all options will work with standard body routing. Body modifications may be required depending on your selections.
*We don’t recommend selecting control/pot hole position #1 with the Soapbar or Wide Range pickup rout.
*Select the “Squared Corner” style of humbucker rout for covered or active pickup use. Rounded corner styles are designed to work with standard uncovered humbuckers.
*All options are standard, non-countersunk by default. If you would prefer countersunk pickup mounting holes (available for single coil styles), let us know in advance.
If you have something outside normal measurements or don’t see the option you need, be sure to contact us for special consideration or a custom quote.

YOUR CHOICE – Pickup Mounting Screw Holes
When applicable, your choice of none (undrilled, do-it yourself), standard or countersunk (SRV style) pickup mounting screw holes.

YOUR CHOICE – Switch Control Options
Your choice of different switch styles and locations (see reference images). Be sure to check your control cavity for compatibility with your desired style.
*None: Uncut/Undrilled, Do-It-Yourself
*Standard Blade Style Switch Cut (standard/blade/knife switch style) in choice of positions and mounting hole styles
--Standard Position: Standard Strat placement
--Modified Position: Moves the standard blade switch placement closer to the pot control area for those who need or prefer a condensed control area – control/pot hole position #4 is not recommended with this option
--Root Style: Moves the standard blade switch placement to the pot control area - positions 2, 2.5, 2.5X & 3 are not available with this option
*TWO Blade Switch Cuts: Choice of position combos
*1-6 Mini Toggle Switch Holes (placement at our discretion)
*Standard Toggle Switch (Gibson Style) Hole in Standard Position (position #4 control/pot hole not recommended)
Switch options are also available in the Control/Pot Hole option menu if you’d prefer a switch in one of those positions. Select only one type of switch on one or the other option selection menu unless you want more than one switch cut or drilled.

YOUR CHOICE – Control / Pot Hole Positions
We can send these custom guards without any holes (undrilled so you can drill control or pot holes how and where you like) or with control pot, toggle switch, or mini toggle switch holes in the position(s) of your choice (see reference image). If you don’t want any holes drilled, select “NONE” for each option.

*IMPORTANT NOTES
--Control Pot holes are compatible with full or mini size pots.
--Positions #1.5 & #4 are not recommended to be selected for the same build unless using mini pots/switches.
--Positions #1.5 & #1.5X as well as #2.5 & #2.5X should not be selected at the same time as these positions overlap.
We will drill as you select – some variability is to be expected as these are custom works. Not all hole placements will be compatible with all body routing. Some placements may be too closely positioned for standard knob sizes. Exercise discretion.

Matching Trem Cover (Optional)
Select this option for a matching trem cover (cut from the same material sheet) for the closest possible match.
Please note that some of our specialty style materials are designed to vary in color, pattern or style in order to provide unique outcomes so covers and guards cut from the same material sheet may naturally differ in appearance.
*Your choice of no mounting holes (undrilled, do-it-yourself), 6 standard or 6 lefty mounting holes.
*Select no string slot (uncut, for Floyd Rose styles or do-it-yourself), standard or lefty string slot placement.
*Add-on trem covers feature beveled edging. If you prefer a non-beveled style, check out our Custom Trem Covers.

Pickguard Mounting Screws (Optional)

With standard selections, these guards are designed to work with “Fender® Standard” model guitars in the years and configuration noted. These guards may not work with non-standard components or systems and may not work with some pickup covers and styles. Guards may not fit “Squier” “Deluxe” “Light” “Custom” any Artist Series or Reissue, or any other non-standard model. Non-standard selections may require body or other modifications. Depending on your set-up, you may require adjustment. Your selections are your own – we will create your custom guard to order per your specifications. It is solely your responsibility to determine your desired options.

Check measurements before purchase. Reference images are approximations and not to scale; variability is to be expected as examples provided are representations only. Ask in advance and we are happy to provide fit and compatibility information or make special arrangements if possible. Please carefully consider your purchase if you are unsure of your requirements, needs, or ability to make any required adjustments. Diagrams or instructions are not included.

THERE ARE NO RETURNS OR ORDER CANCELLATIONS ON CUSTOM ORDERS! Since we process orders as quickly as possible and each guard will be cut just for you, be sure of what you want and ask any questions before completing your purchase. This item is not eligible for return. It is your responsibility to know what you need/want and what options will work for your set-up. Inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if there are any problems. Any use, installation or modification of a guard in any way invalidates your ability to make a return in case of shipping damage.

Note that we do not recommend installation using power tools as these can put too much force on the product and cause damage. Take your time for installation; do not over-tighten screws or other components. If you elect to drill or cut your own controls or holes, please be aware that some guards are extremely difficult to drill yourself if you do not have experience or proper tools.
