Color/Style

*Standard styles are cut from multi-ply traditional pickguard materials. Unless specified, material layers may vary (impacts side edging color).
*Standard solid styles are cut from single-ply traditional pickguard materials and do not have the customary side stripe.
*Other styles are custom single-ply solid, specialized materials without a side stripe. Some options in this color category feature a range of transparent, translucent, shimmer, sparkle, or reflective qualities. Contact us for details if these features are important to your project as the gradient varies between styles. Many of these materials are designed to vary in pattern, color, and style, providing unique outcomes for each project – expect variability.
*Most plates come with pre-applied electronics shielding strip. Some specialty styles, including translucent or transparent materials, may have single or double-sided protective covering with electronics shielding strip included separately so you can choose whether/how to apply it.
*Allow and expect color and pattern variation due to photo and monitor settings, natural product variance, and personal perception. If you are looking for a particular outcome or project color match, carefully consider your purchase as many of our material options are designed to provide unique project finishes and we cannot guarantee a specific look.

Style Option
Choose a standard 45-degree bevel or change it up with a rounded style bevel or non-beveled/unbeveled look.

Mounting Style
Choose from no mounting screw holes (undrilled, do-it-yourself) or standard 10-Hole mounting style.
*Guard & Plate mounting screw holes are counter-sunk.

Neck Pocket Style
Choose a standard neck pocket with or without a truss notch.

Pickup Rout Style Options
Choice of pickup style (or no pickup routing at all).
--None (Uncut) with no pickup opening
--Standard Jazz Bass Pickup Rout
*Not all options will work with standard routing. Body modding may be required depending on your set-up and selections.
*If you have something outside normal measurements, be sure to contact us for specialized consideration or a custom quote.

Plate Control Positions
We can create these custom plates without any control holes (undrilled so you can drill how and where you like) or with holes drilled in your choice of positions. Check out the provided reference image for general hole placement options. Select up to seven holes (if no blade switch is selected) but take care to watch your spacing. For each available position, select from the following options:
*None (Uncut/Undrilled)
*Control Pot (compatible with full-size or mini-pots)
*Toggle Switch (standard Gibson style size)
*Mini Switch (mini toggle style)
*Blade Switch (standard blade/knife style)
*Jack Hole (standard jack size)
IMPORTANT NOTES
--Standard Plates have control holes at Positions 1, 3, & 5 with the jack hole at Position 7.
--If selected, a blade switch requires three consecutive hole locations and all three hole options must be selected for blade switch so we know how you want the switch cut to be placed.
--Be sure to check option selections and compatibility with your component size/placement.
--We will create the plate per your selections. Some hole placements will not be compatible with certain routing or may be too closely positioned for standard knob or component sizes. It is solely your responsibility to determine and select your desired hole placements. Ask questions prior to purchase as needed.

These items will not work with non-standard components or systems. Reference images are approximations and not to scale; variability is to be expected. Allow and expect variation in color due to photo and monitor settings as well as natural design, product, and production variance. Ask any questions regarding colors, materials, options, fit, installation, requirements, special requests, etc. prior to purchase.

Your selections are your own – we will create your order per your specifications. Depending on your set-up, you may require adjustment or modification. Ask in advance and we are happy to provide fit/compatibility information or make special arrangements if possible.

Since we process orders as quickly as possible and your order will be cut just for you, be sure of what you want and ask any questions before completing your purchase. This item is not eligible for return. It is solely your responsibility to know what you need/want and what options will work for your set-up.

Note that we do not recommend installation using power tools as these can put too much force on the product and cause damage. Take your time for installation; do not use power tools and do not over-tighten screws or other components.
