This SSS set allows you the opportunity to mix and match the magnet styles you prefer for each position. The Dragonfire Active Ceramic Pickup uses a ceramic magnet for cutting-edge tone. This active ceramic pickup is great for delivering intense yet clean tones. The Dragonfire Active AlNiCo Pickup uses an alnico magnet for a classic warm tone. This pickup is smooth and not as harsh as the ceramic, yet still plenty powerful! Combining these Strat pickups in a mixed set enhances versatility and provides players with the best of both worlds! Also, since each pickup is position interchangeable and can work in any Strat pickup position slot, you gain flexible installation and play options so you can change them around when you feel like mixing it up.

Active Strat pickups work great for most Strat set-ups and are perfect for blues, rock, country and any other genre that benefits from the famous tone and power only active pickups can deliver. Rock and metal players can amp up sustain, power and performance with these pickups. Enjoy a slick, sleek and clean look with these covered style pickups for a modern appearance without any exposed poles or rails.

Dragonfire Actives feature Quick-Connect 3-Pin style pickup wire leads and a battery clip for easier installation (soldering required). ACTIVE pickups require a 9v battery (not included). If selected, we will also include a switch for your convenience (color at our discretion). This system kit comes with 1V2T (one volume / two tones) and we offer the option to choose different pot control styles depending on your needs.

Select our build service if you’d like us to create the harness for you and incorporate the pickups. Note that we can only include the items you select in your harness. For example, if you don’t add a switch or select a jack, we won’t add those components to the harness and you’ll have to do that yourself, if desired. Depending on your set-up, you may still need to unsolder the pickup and/or jack wires, run your wires through the cavity, and resolder. Basic wiring instructions will let you know which wires are hot and which are grounds as well as basic connections. There are a vast number of possible set-ups; if desired, you should be able to use the information we provide to match up with any diagram or instructions you choose to use. Installation requires soldering and compatible system.

We provide enough pickup lead wire to complete installation wiring in standard usage situations. If you require additional length, contact us PRIOR to purchase. Use only the provided pickup connection cables. Though these pickups work well with EMG systems, they will not work with EMG Style cables. Take your time for installation; do not use power tools and do not over-tighten, overheat, or apply too much pressure on components.

Allow and expect variation in measurement approximations due to natural tolerance as well as in color due to photo and monitor settings, perception, lighting, as well as normal product variance. Color descriptions indicate color of item, not material. Ask any questions regarding options, measurements, installation requirements, special requests, etc. prior to purchase.
