The Dragonfire PJ Bass Pickups in this Active PJ Set provide hot active output and clarity with the sound isolating and low interference performance typically associated with an active pickup. Featuring ceramic magnets, better balance, increased sustain and output across the strings, these Active PJ Pickups are a must-have for the serious player. Better performance maintenance regardless of volume level along with reduced overtone and balanced signal conversion make these pups stand out in the crowd. If you want less hum, more snap, clean signal and sharpness, look no further! The Active PJ Bass Noiseless Dragonfire Pickup Set excels in the low to midrange while still allowing for high end response, freer vibration, and low-end thump, adding nice dimension to your playing. These are great for big, substantial playing styles with the thickness and thump you need in most styles of bass play.

The J Bass bridge pickup in this set comes wired with a colored (hot) wire, black (ground) wire, and battery wire. The precision pickups are single-coil split for two distinct pickups wound opposite from each other and come wired with a white (hot) wire and bare (ground) wire plus a battery wire and black pickup connection wire (roughly 6” in length). This design allows for more even tonal capability and balanced sound along with reduced hum. The single-coil J Bass Pickup and Split P Bass Pickups (4 each split) will work for your fretted or fretless 4-string bass. Wax potting on the coils and an epoxy seal on the pickups help isolate sound, increase noise suppression, and reduce feedback as well as or other undesirable output. This matched set is collaborative and the pickups will work in conjunction with one another for best possible performance.

The cover dimensions for these pickups are a bit larger than US standard sizing. If you are direct-mounting, there is generally no problem. If you are using a guard, some pickguard modification may be required for proper fit. Bass pickup dimensions have varied over time so be sure to check your cavity and available space with the approximate measurements for these pickups (provided below).

Instructions for installation are not included. Due to the vast and varied nature of possible set-ups, we do not provide specific information or diagrams for installation. You should be able to use basic knowledge of wiring with the diagram or instructions of your choice.

Installation requires soldering and compatible system. We provide enough pickup lead wire to complete installation wiring in standard usage situations. If you require additional length, contact us prior to purchase to see if we can accommodate your needs. Take your time for installation; do not use power tools and do not over-tighten or apply too much pressure on components.

Inspect your order upon receipt. We will address any issues PRIOR to installation. If everything is in order, simply install carefully to enjoy.
